HRCH Buxshot Rio MH
"Rio"
Rio was our very first dog to train. He is who inspired Nate to pursue a career training dogs. He achieved his Master Hunter title with the AKC as well as his Hunting Retriever Champion title with the UKC in his 5 short years with us. Rio was lost to cancer in 2021. He is missed dearly, but remains our "why" and the driving force behind what we do.
SHR HB's Golden Boy Finley JH
"Finn"
Finn is a 2 year old Golden Retriever. He came as an older puppy with a good foundation in obedience, so we were able to jump right into gun dog training. After training, Finns owner dove into hunt tests. They have achieved their SHR and JH, and are excited to continue on to the next levels.
We sure our proud of them!
Paluxy Livin The Dream
"Lux"
Lux is my wife, Cara's, dog, and a duck hunting fool! He has proven to be a wonderful family dog, enjoying all the cuddles at home, but transitions into a retrieving machine in the field. Whether you're hunting duck, dove, pheasant, or quail, Lux is your guy.
SHR Strawberry's Need For Speed WC
"Maverick"
Maverick is a 2 year old English lab. He came as an older puppy. Though he is mainly show dog blood lines, Maverick's owner wanted him be a gun and hunt test dog. They have since achieved their SHR Title, WC title, almost completed their JH, and in Maverick's free time, he works as a therapy dog in hospitals and schools. We sure love this big guy!
Duke
Duke was our first pointer to train, and we think he was a good one to start with! Duke's owners wanted solid obedience and gun dog training. Duke is a Jack of All Trades now. He can point your birds and retrieve them as well. Duke is missing one pass to earn his Junior Hunter title from the AKC and now spends his days helping his owner guide hunts in South Texas and South Dakota.
Nova
Nova is a young black lab that came in for an obedience tune up with a continuing focus on gun dog training. Her owners wanted a solid gun dog for hunting, and that's exactly what they got! Nova is a natural and picked up everything so quickly with a little training help. We are proud to have had this beautiful girl in our kennels.
Lily
While Lilly didn't come for training, she enjoys coming to hang out and show the big dogs how it's done!
